Dahlia 'Cafe au Lait Royal'
‘Cafe au Lait Royal’ is a fun and whimsical twist on the beloved ‘Cafe au Lait’. These flowers have the same large flowy petals and creamy white base. The difference is the royal pink stripes that turn each petal into a unique kaleidoscope. They grow to be about 3-4’ feet tall and the blooms are up to 10” in diameter. Blooms mid to late summer.
Our Dahlias are offered as undivided clump tubers and all weigh a minimum of 4oz at the time of harvest. All our Dahlias are grown on our farm in Woodland WA
Dahlias are not hardy in zone 8 and lower. The best time to plant is early may, or as soon as the chance of night frost is over. Dahlias like a good even watering throughout the summer and they will bloom until the first frost in the fall. In colder climates you can lift the tubers and let them overwinter in some dry peat in a cool frost free garage or basement.
