Dahlia 'Thomas Edison'
Dahlia 'Thomas Edison'
‘Thomas Edison’ has 5-6” bright violet flowers with deep purple centers that create a royal looking gradient. They have purple stems and bright green leaves. Bloom late summer to frost. Plant height 3-4’.
Our Dahlias are offered as undivided clump tubers and all weigh a minimum of 4oz at the time of harvest. All our Dahlias are grown on our farm in Woodland WA
Dahlias are not hardy in zone 8 and lower. The best time to plant is early may, or as soon as the chance of night frost is over. Dahlias like a good even watering throughout the summer and they will bloom until the first frost in the fall. In colder climates you can lift the tubers and let them overwinter in some dry peat in a cool frost free garage or basement.
