‘Fretwork’ (Sherwin) is a fancy petite Aurelian with a circlet of 3 to 6 ‘busy’ five inch flowers that often open at the same time.  Blooms have rich, glowing golden centers on an antique ivory base.  Dark olive green nectaries are striking.  The sturdy petals, with light whiskers, recurve strongly and often have a playful twist.  Sturdy stems are clothed with dark green foliage.  A dependable increaser.  Blooms mid to late July.  Hardy and reliable in northern gardens.  To 3 feet.
