Rare! For the special collectors!

‘L. henryi v. citrinum’ (Beaverton clone) Hidden away in the gardens of a fortunate few, the origin of this lily has long been debated.  Unlike the more familiar ‘Ypsilanti’ clone, ‘Beaverton’s’ flowers are a deeper saturated yellow with a golden reverse.  A fine line of sable brown graces the edge of most petals.  Many side buds.  The vibrant colors of ‘Beaverton’ are enhanced by cooler weather.  Some suspect that the two described yellow ‘variants’ of L. henryi are the result of an early cross T. A. Havemeyer made between L. sulphureum and L. henryi.  Though its origin is a mystery—this is a true ‘pass-along’ lily for generations to come.  Strong willowy stems to 6’, mid-July to late August.  (Very limited supply and very hard to find)
